A well-sheltered port accessible at all stated of the tide, the port is recognizable by the number of wind turbines on the North East breakwater. The Royal Northumberland Yacht Club has pontoons with visitor's berths on the East side of the South harbour. They will also make you very welcome in their club, which is a retired Light Vessel, they serve food at certain times and the showers and toilets are on board, a club full of memorabilia from the past to the present.
