Berwick upon Tweed 73nm North
|
Berwick is the most Northerly town in England, cross the River Tweed and you enter Scotland. Berwick is situated on the river mouth, and the town walls give great views of the Salmon River. The entrance is well marked but you must follow the buoyage, which leads to the Tweed Dock, a must is that you try to tie up close to a ladder, as the dock is tidal. There are good places to eat and numerous pubs, also some very pretty walks around the town and alongside the river. Tourist Info |
